Rome November 2-4

Wow, another amazing destination, with wonderful things to look at around every corner. An air bnb near the main train station makes for easy sightseeing.
Our preferred transport

And just for fun, a great if slightly nerve wracking way to get around. Thanks Jess for the present :-)

Would we park like this?

Some ancient sites

And a good picnic spot

Churches are everywhere

But we decide not to stand in line for hours at The Vatican, when we can see work by Michalangelo and Bernini and many others elsewhere without the hoards.

The Trevi Fountain is being renovated

But there are many more, both big and small

After much sampling, we decide Frigidaire has the BEST gelato, especially as it comes with choc top

Arrivederci Roma, a wonderful place to end our holiday.
We'll be in Melbourne Thursday night, and Torquay Sunday night, after a weekend in the King Valley.
